Evangephobia

I participated in the Evangephobia webinar with Greg Stier last week. It was a lot of fun, and being able to hear his thoughts and interact with a handful of others was very insightful. Here are a few of the highlights from the webinar:

  • A Fun, Clean Interface. The video ran, there were interactive polls, and a chat window for all of the viewers to carry on comments, questions and opinions about what was being shared. There were over 300 people on, and only about 2 dozen talking in the chat widget. Even when the video feed collapsed toward the end it was still a load of fun.
  • Evangelism Sparks Spiritual Growth in Students. Greg made the argument that when we encourage our students to gain Spiritual depth in their walk with Christ. Sharing their faith makes them own their faith. Good insight.
  • The Importance of Prayer. Greg shared the need to spend much of our time in prayer. If God’s not in it, it won’t happen.
  • Program Priorities. We program games, teaching, music and more. We program the things that are important to us and to our ministries. But are we programming time and space for evangelism?
There was a lot more, but if you want to hear it, you should sign up for the next Evangephobia. It will take place on August 9 on Dare2Share’s Evangephobia website. It’s totally free, and you will be blessed. I know I was.

Bonus: Here is a video that Dare2Share produced and Greg shared during the webinar.
