Prepare the Way
A couple weeks ago in Sunday School we explored the passage from Luke 3 in which John the Baptist warns people to prepare the way for Jesus. As an exercise, I split the group up into multiple smaller groups, and gave each group a task that they were to think trough and share with each of us the necessary steps to prepare that task. The tasks ranged from baking a cake, to going hunting, to playing a basketball game and more. The goal was to have them leave thinking through the question “What do I have to do to prepare the way for Jesus in the world around me?”
I caught some video of the group I assigned the task of changing a tire. It is quite humorous.
