30 Hour Famine
The Famine has begun. I finished my lunch before 12:30, and will be joining our teens until 6:30 tomorrow evening fasting in order to raise money for those worldwide who cannot feed themselves, raise awareness in our comunity about the problem, and give our teens a small taste of what it is like for those who are in this situation. If you are a friend of mine on Facebook, look for periodic updates there over the weekend, as I will not be able to blog here. Sunday morning we will be running both services, so look for links to the audio (and perhaps video as well) early next week.
And please, pray for us this weekend. We have around 25 teens who have never done anything like this before. Pray that their hunger will not overshadow the cause.
